Stick With Your Exercise Plan Mums!

How are your new year's resolutions going? Did you make any resolutions to be fitter and healthier in 2013?

I was invited onto the BBC Radio Northampton show "Weekend Women" last Sunday to talk about how we can keep to our exercise resolutions going.

My 10 minute interview is here.

I hope you'll have a listen. Is your fitness goal inspiring for you? Have you enrolled your supporters and exercise partners? And could you avoid spending lots of money without achieving results?

I have two baby sons and have twice got back into shape after pregnancy. I believe that it is possible to achieve those new year's resolutions by sticking with a sensible, practical, and fun exercise regime.

Mums have all the usual barriers to exercise (motivation, time, confidence, etc)... PLUS ... (a) we need expert guidance on safe exercise during the early postnatal period AND (b) we have a baby to look after and hardly any free time!

On the "Weekend Women" radio show I talked about overcoming these barriers.

I also made a bid for more mums to step forward as volunteers and set up their own weekly exercise groups. Ready Steady Mums will help you build your own Local RSM group in your community. Visit www.readysteadymums.com/volunteers
